Chuck Ortiz

My Editor-in-Chief asked me to illustrate a portrait of him to use for social networking. We're toying with the idea of me potentially illustrating the rest of the staff as well, either way this was fun!

5 ways to keep it real.. Italo style.

Illustration I did for an article on italian cuisine. The title was '5 ways to keep it real: Italo style" so I drew a hand holding out it's five digits while sprinkling some basil on a bowl of delicious pasta. I did two different color ways, but I found the orange hand worked best. omnom.

DOTPR

My friend is starting her own pr company in sunny LA and she asked me to create her identity. Here's the final logo we decided on and some sample web pages I've created for her.

Cuddle Timez.

I was asked to create a narrative for my first attempt at silkscreen in general print last fall. I decided to show a make-belief fur re-growth formula at work. These are some of the drawings I created for the prints using simple pen & ink.

Letterpress Final Project

These are the drawings I used to make polymer plates for my final project for letterpress last semester. I'll throw the final prints up here once they're unpacked. I printed them on newsprint with a translucent white as the background of the hand and some of the text, along with handset type defining the correlating word.

The morning Benders.

Typography assignment last semester where we were asked to create artwork for individual songs off the same album to be placed in Itunes.
